DESCRIPTION

Who isn’t head over heels for a matching set? The Sweet V Skirt is the matching bottom to the oversized – boxy v-neck of the Sweet V Sweater. With a double brim band (that hides an elastic sewn in), this skirt has 2-3” of positive ease in the hip, meaning it skims the handles, and cinches at the waist. With an opening at the side of the leg for walkability and tailored bum shaping so you don’t end up with saggy butt syndrome, this skirt is perfect for those crisp mornings as you head for brunch with your pals. Not sure what size to knit?

Knit top down, in the round, and seamless, this pattern is written in nine sizes – XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). It is suggested that you highlight your size, so you know which stitch count to follow. Model pictured is wearing the size M and is 5’7”, 148 pounds and has a waist of 31” in circumference, for reference.

How to choose your size: Find your waist measurements below and knit the size according to it.

XS – 23-24” waist, 33-34” hip
S – 25-26.5” waist, 35-36” hip
M – 28-30” waist, 38-40” hip
L – 32-34” waist, 42-44” hip
XL – 36-38” waist, 46-48” hip
2XL – 40-42” waist, 52-53” hip
3XL – 44-45” waist, 54-55” hip
4XL – 46-47” waist, 56-57” hip
5XL – 49-50” waist, 61-62” hip

You will need to know how to cast on, knit and purl both flat and in the round, increase, decrease and bind off.

MATERIALS NEEDED
- 5 (6, 7, 7, 8) (8, 9, 10, 10) balls of Lion Brand LB Collection Chainette (seen in Taupe)

or 810 (900, 1010, 1075, 1175) (1255, 1350, 1485, 1635) yds / 740 (825, 925, 985, 1075) (1150, 1235, 1360, 1495) meters of size 4 worsted weight yarn

- Size US 8/5 mm knitting needles 24”/60 cm circular needles (4+5XL may benefit from 32”/82 cm)
- Size US 10/6 mm knitting needles 24”/60 cm circular needles (4+5XL may benefit from 32”/82 cm)
- 3 stitch markers
- Sewing elastic band (1-1.5” / 2.53.75cm wide)
- Sewing thread
- Sewing needle
- Scissors
- Darning needle
